can’t separate that from the visuals.

After being inspired by Nick Brandt work online

i finally got the chance to see his exhibition in Chelsea.

Screens can be better and better and you can browse images

on the web more and more high res,

but nothing is comparable to seeing these amazing huge pictures

tastefully printed and showcased in the proper environment.

It just gives you back so much more.

Going back in time

One of the thing that attracts me the most about image creation in general is

the ability to convey emotions and moods … the creation of an atmosphere.

Without a doubt when we look at period photographs there’s already a strong appeal

because of just the notion that we’re experiencing history and time no longer there.

The photos in this new exhibition “Weegee : Murder is my Business” are so effective in capturing those past and mysterious times

of New York in the late ’30, and i loved the exhibition not only cause i like the subject and the historical time specifically,

but because Weegee is a genius in capturing the people reaction, the human side of the crime as well,

which is part of the violent action itself.

Brilliant exhibition.
